Pho is a traditional dish typical of Vietnamese cuisine, typically used for breakfast or dinner.  Pho noodle soup is usually beef, but also can be chicken noodle, pork noodle or like a shrimp soup.

The main components are pho noodles and broth, along with thinly sliced beef or chicken. Pho would not be complete without accompanying condiments such as soy sauce, pepper, lemon juice, fish sauce and chili, depending on your taste.

In the southern provinces of Vietnam, Pho is garnished with ingredients like herbs, basil or cilantro leaves (coriander), and spices including cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves. Water used for the soup is generally made ​​of stewed beef bones and meat or chicken stock. The rice noodles are traditionally made ​​from rice flour and manually cut into fibers.
