Balli Airport Express Service Avoids Long Lines: Get There Quicker

Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport, is located 13 km south of Denpasar near Jimbaran Bay. (About an hour’s drive to Ubud or Candidasa in the central and eastern regions, and less to the touristy areas of Seminyak, Kuta and Nusa Dua.)

Ngurah Rai is a very crowded airport, with many flights arriving at the same time. While the new terminal construction is mostly complete, and navigation from check in to departure is painless, it is the arrival process that still needs some pre-planning, even for intrepid travelers.

Whether you need special assistance (elderly, infirm or in a group) or just want to race through the beautiful airport (passing up the money changers and the Duty Free Shops) to your waiting tour driver, the steps can be facilitated with a fastrack through immigration and security. I have been in and out of this airport many times – before, during and after the remodel, arriving both in daylight and at midnight – so I can vouch for the FastTrack Bali service in terms of being a value-added service. For a timely and safe exit, I suggest booking this service online as soon as you purchase your airline ticket and can send them your flight details.

The fee for Fasttrack Bali’s VIP Meet & Greet express service is $25 USD (or 250,000 IDR). With their escort, it never takes more than 15 minutes to get a vistor visa and passport stamped, to collect luggage and exit to the waiting area. Here is where the escort waits with you until you connect with your driver (they hold up your namecard) or he can help you with a taxi.

Fasttrack Bali’s owner, Yanie, always greets me with a gift (brightly coloured batik sarong) and calls my driver (if he’s lost in the parking garage or late because of traffic.) This has saved me many a time, otherwise I would have been at the mercy of locals who do not speak English or know their way to my suburban accommodation. This is not fun when your flight arrives early and it is late at night and you have to wait alone for your driver. I prefer to be with FastTrack till I’m safely on the road to my destination. -The Rainbow Rambler.
